Knot & Wood, LLC is owned and operated by a New Orleans native whose passion for beautiful woodwork was slowly realized in learning the trade of wood refinishing. Rachel (yes, she’s a she) has been refinishing doors since 2004 when she was in high school, a technique learned from her skilled father, fellow artist and painting contractor. With a BA in graphic design, Rachel never imagined she would end up with Knot & Wood, but now that she has, she couldn’t imagine anything different. Door refinishing is just the tip of the iceberg; Rachel has salvaged furniture, cabinetry and architectural pieces as well, so don’t hesitate to inquire if the job seems unlikely.
